It drives me crazy when parents give in to their child just because they want to shut them up. All they are doing is making the situation worse down the road because if they give in all the time they will NEVER shut up. They will just raise spoiled brats. I could care less if my kids scream, cry or throw a tantrum in public. No is no and in fact, many times strangers have complimented me on my ability to stand firm and not give in. We need to look long term as we discipline not focus on the here and now. Creditmom Great post.
