An FSU fraternity can make money for scholarship programs for its members a number of different ways.  Going out into the community and asking businesses to sponsor their scholarship program is one way. However in these difficult economic hard times, businesses are not likely to contribute as easily as they would have several years ago.  This is where fund raising would be a better idea when it comes to making money for scholarships.

FSU’s best fraternity will have difficulty this year raising money for scholarships unless they know where to look and whom to contact.  By contacting the alumni Association and getting a list of former FSU fraternity brothers, current FSU fraternity members can seek out donations from alumni who might feel an obligation or just an overwhelming sense of pride toward their alma mater in helping to set up a scholarship program for those less fortunate.  This is a great way for alumni to leave something behind to the school that gave him so much.

Holding various and different types of fundraisers, the best fraternity at Florida State might make more money for their scholarship program than an FSU fraternity that simply runs a carnival or car wash.  By using the Internet for an online auction of the team’s winning football or basketball signed by all the players, the best fraternity at Florida State would surely make more money than an FSU fraternity that does not use online means.

Making money for a scholarship for those less fortunate will give everyone in the FSU fraternity a sense of pride and accomplishment from a job well done.
