Making money in these economic hard times can seem like a daunting task especially to those who sell something which may be considered frivolous or a luxury item such as candles however people like to feel good on other what the economy says and candles make people feel good and better about themselves.

A candle company can align themselves with other websites in order to receive more customers to their website or their real-world brick-and-mortar store.  If they only sell candles through an online website, then they should see about placing their candles in home décor stores, bed and bath stores, unique fixtures stores and other home decorating stores or even a greeting card shop.  The owner of the shop can take a commission off of the price of the candles or the candle company could pay to rent a space in the store.

An online candle company could also work with organizations such as cancer prevention or other medical needs fund raisers in which the candles are given away as door prizes or used as table settings in exchange for the name of the candle company on all promotional, marketing and advertising materials.  Giving away candles can make you money by bringing in customers who enjoy the way the candles look and smell that the fundraiser and also who see the candles advertise on the promotional material.  In addition, customers are more likely to purchase from people who support a medical fund raiser because it shows the candle company and its employees have a conscious.

A candle company that sells jar candles through an online website store could also offer visitors to purchase a certain amount of specialty candles a free music download with an agreement from a music company to provide the music downloads for their customers.  This agreement could include an article exchange in which the music company carries an article about candles on their website in exchange for the free music downloads or the candle company places an article about music on their website.  Article exchanges are one of many marketing methods that do not cost the website owner any money to participate in; they just have to find willing websites.

Making money with a candle company takes time and patience and a little creative thinking in order to get your candle business noticed by customers who want to purchase candles.  By participating in fund raisers, article exchanges with other websites and placing the actual candles in real-world brick-and-mortar stores either on consignment or by renting space, a candle company can receive customers who will spend money on their product.
